Es común ver en los aeropuertos japoneses como el personal
de tierra, levantan la mano saludando y despidiendo al avión que está a punto
de despegar, sin embargo este cordial saludo se inició hace unos 42 años atrás
y es parte de una historia real.

Se cuenta que en 1973 un mecánico del área de mantenimiento
del Aeropuerto de Naha (Okinawa) empezó a saludar despidiéndose siempre de los

daban cuenta de este saludo y les respondían de igual forma.
